To many, Corey Damen Jenkins’s story is quite inspiring. The Detroit native started his interior designer career going door-to-door—a total of 779 doors—before booking his first client to now having his own MasterClass. There, he explores his design influences and teaches viewers how to build bold, functional interiors on any budget. Jenkins also runs a fully operational, interior design firm where he leads a team of designers, operations specialists, and staff on residential projects and partnerships in development throughout the United States and beyond. His work has been recognized by many esteemed outlets and earned prestigious design awards including Architecture Digest’s AD100 2023, ELLE DÉCOR’s A-List and 1st Dibs 50. His book Design Remix: A New Spin on Traditional Rooms (Rizzoli) offers step by step lessons and inspiration on how to make interiors sing. —G.E.
