DURAND BERNARR

You've probably heard his name through the grapevine: Durand Bernarr. Whether it was the Cleveland native’s viral NPR Tiny Desk performance or a clip from his stage show as an opening act on Erykah Badu’s tour (where he also preforms backup), Bernarr’s one to watch. The singer exudes undeniable talent and has crafted a unique sound that places him in his own lane, much like Badu, who is one of his longtime collaborators. Promoting his latest album, Wanderlust, Bernarr has been able to perform and sell out shows globally. He told NPR: "I'm not meant to be understood; I'm meant to be experienced."—G.E.
