JONATHAN MCCRORY

For Jonathan McCrory, advancing the world of theater is a calling. He’s served as the Executive Artistic Director of the National Black Theatre since 2012 and is on the nominating committees for the prestigious Tony Awards and Lucille Lortel Awards. When McCrory wasn’t busy working with the National Black Theatre to build a new headquarters in Harlem, this year he had a hand in the NBT partnering as co-producers of Fat Ham’s Broadway debut. The James Ijames’ Pulitzer Prize winning play went on to earn five Tony nominations. McCrory has been previously recognized by Crain’s New York Business for their list, Notable LGBTQ Leaders and Executives. —G.E.
