In film and television, what we don’t see behind the screen is equally as important, if not more, to what we do see on camera. Ricky D. Irving is a key producer for CBS Mornings—the national news broadcast show that follows in the esteemed footsteps of its sister programs, 60 Minutes and CBS Sunday Morning. Irving joined the team as a producer in 2020 and two years later, CBS Mornings, which is co-hosted by Gayle King, Nate Burleson and Tony Dokupil, won a 2022 news and documentary Emmy for being the best Outstanding Live News Program. Irving, who now holds an Emmy trophy with his name engraved in gold, was a principal member that contributed to the show’s success. —G.E.
