Campbell Addy

A month before Usher wowed the halftime show at the Super Bowl LVIII, photographer Campbell Addy captured his equally electric energy for Vogue’s January 2024 digital cover. While the Ghanaian-British imagemaker can lean into the experimental—his artistry steadily balances both the mainstream and the avant-garde as seen within his exhibitions in London, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, and New York—Addy is sought after for his sharp editorial imagery. In 2024, he photographed Apple CEO Tim Cook for the Wall Street Journal; racing champ Lewis Hamilton for GQ, Adut Akech for Vogue Germany and Bad Gyal for Vogue Spain. A frequent collaborator with several big name brands, Addy has photographed campaigns for the Jordan Brand and Yves Saint-Laurent. This year, the Nii Journal founder turned the lens on himself as one of the subjects in National Geographic’s Photographer. — J.S.M.
