Justin French uses his photography to capture new worlds and vibrant ways of being. The self-taught photographer and art director elevates the stories of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ talent with photos that explore the human condition through the lens of politics, identity, and culture. French’s Red Hook Labs show in 2017 was only the precursor to his future exhibits in Saatchi Gallery, Recontres d’Arles, and Fotografiska. The Chicago-born creative’s artistry merges seamlessly into entertainment, sports, and fashion, with him also capturing portraits of today’s industry titans. In 2025 alone, French delivered iconic cover shoots with Keke Palmer for The Cut, A$AP Rocky, Venus Williams for Cultured Magazine, and the Young Hollywood Portfolio for Elle Magazine. And with his artistic vision branching into fashion collaborations with brands such as Levi’s, Louis Vuitton, Tommy Hilfiger, and Balmain, French continues to prove his photographic expertise and creative vision knows no artistic bounds.
