IB KAMARA

As editor-in-chief of Dazed magazine and the Art and Image Director of Off-White, Ibrahim “Ib” Kamara challenges traditional notions of beauty. Kamara was born in Sierra Leone, and raised in Gambia and London, which informs how he effortlessly blends masculine and feminine, East and West, with a distinct point of view that is at-once familiar and wholly new. The super-stylist’s portfolio includes boundary-pushing editorials across several international editions of Vogue, and perhaps most notably, unique collaborations with the late Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton and Rihanna. In 2021, Kamara received the British Fashion Council’s Isabella Blow Award which recognizes innovative creative professionals and their invaluable contributions to the fashion industry. He’s following in the respected footsteps previous winners of this prestigious award, including Dame Pat McGrath and Edward Enninful OBE. —T.T.
