From a very young age, Maximilian Davis inherited his skill and love for fashion from his creative family. Both his mother and father were familiar with the industry by studying fashion design before pursuing other careers; his mother also modeled in the ‘70s, which influenced Davis to learn how to sew at the age of 6. In just a couple of years, Davis managed to launch his eponymous fashion brand Maximilian and become widely recognized by the luxury fashion industry — and Rihanna. After presenting his final collection under his namesake label at the FW22 Fashion East showcase, Davis withdrew from the LVMH Prize — even though he was a semi-finalist — to pursue his next move in fashion. This year, at the age of 27, Davis presented his first collection as the new Creative Director at Ferragamo. —G.E.
