Black Queer safe spaces are our key to survival, especially since our places can become targets of violence or simply taken away. But for Richard Solomon and Charles Hughes, they have helped ensure our gathering spots are here to stay. As the founders of the first Black queer owned vodka LAMBDA, the entrepreneurs have built two hot and exciting new venues for us to live, to love, to kiki, and to relieve the stress of the world — Harlem’s LAMBDA Lounge and Brooklyn’s Club LAMBDA. From brand events to queer-led parties, Solomon and Hughes are providing room for revolutionary moments to be cultivated, experienced, and remembered. —E.F.
