VICTOR GLEMAUD
Long before Victor Glemaud founded IN THE BLK, a collective created to unify, build solidarity and economic independence for Black individuals in the global fashion industry, he started his eponymous fashion label in 2006. Since then Glemaud’s brand provides statement knitwear for all people, genders, races, sizes and personalities. This year, he presented three runway collections (Fall 2022 RTW, Resort 2023 and Spring 2023 RTW) plus he had his designs seen on Keke Palmer, Issa Rae, Gayle King as well on the cover of British Vogue. Glemaud also paid homage to Andre Leon Talley at this year’s Met Gala by creating and wearing a custom design made in partnership with H&M. Glemaud expanded his creative eye into the world of home furnishings with a collection of fabrics with Schumacher Fabrics inspired by his rich Haitian heritage and culture. —G.E.
