JULIAN BREECE
Julian Breece is a force of nature with an incredible gift of writing. He is one of the co-architects behind the Netflix film RUSTIN, the film based on the life of Civil Rights strategist Bayard Rustin and the planning of the 1963 March on Washington. Before writing Rustin, Breece co-wrote the Emmy-nominated Netflix series When They See Us and penned a screenplay on the life of acclaimed choreographer Alvin Ailey for Fox Searchlight. Both a grad of Harvard and University of Southern California, Breece been on Hollywood’s radar since he was named a top-10 finalist of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowship. His first screenplay, Ball, centered the ballroom scene in New York City and he hasn't looked back since. —K.M.
