Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad are pushing the envelope in Black entertainment today. With such impact and excellence, it only makes sense for the production company to work with the best of the best: Marquis Phifer. The LA-based executive leads promotional and brand strategy as the Head of Cultural Marketing. Phifer has also been busy working his marketing magic with Netflix on RUSTIN, and Magnolia Pictures on Kokomo City and Invisible Beauty, and Focus Features' A Thousand and One—all projects that are humming with awards season buzz. He's has had a tasteful hand in the execution of Hollywood films such as Queen & Slim as well as TV shows The Chi and Boomerang.  Hilman Grad also earned a Webby Award nomination for Master of None Presents Moments in Love: A Music Experience, a live music experience featuring performances from Black, queer R&B artists. In short, the Morehouse graduate is a cultural tastemaker who helps amplify the diverse presence for any project that comes across their desk. —G.E.
