This year, theater lovers around the world were anticipating the release of the adaptation of the beloved musical <em>Wicked</em>. For the Ohio native, it wasn’t his first go round with directing the wardrobe for a monumental production. Tazewell made his Broadway debut as a costume designer in the 1990s and since then, he’s led the wardrobe for several projects in theatre, film and television including <em>West Side Story</em>, <em>The Color Purple: The Musica</em>l and <em>Harriet</em>. He’s widely known for being one of the most revered costume designers in the industry – he’s won both an Emmy Award (<em>The Wiz Live!</em>) and a Tony Award (<em>Hamilton</em>).
