Surface Level Podcast

Whether they are uncovering the secret to long standing friendships, curating Black queer artists for your next playlist or diving into the nuances of sex and intimacy, Surface Level podcast hosts Tony Jermin, Damon Epps and Jordan Randall leave no stone unturned. Every week they tackle issues connected to Blackness, queerness, and the intersection between. Fresh off the heels of their ninth season, the Surface Level podcast crew welcomed esteemed guests, such as Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lee Daniels, recording artist serpentwithfeet and acclaimed activist Raquel Willis. In addition to their podcasting duties, the trio hosted their The Personal is Political miniseries in partnership with GLAAD, highlighting how politics impacts the daily lives of Black and queer LGBTQ+ folks. Now celebrating four years of conversations, we love how Surface Level Podcast centers our stories. — J.S.M.
