Born Louis Kevin Celestin, the Haitian-Canadian DJ and music producer Kaytranada has been summoning us to the dance floor for over a decade. After building a following for years with a consistent wave of EP releases and remixes, the Grammy Award winner gained some major industry traction with the release of his debut studio album 99.9% in 2016. He followed up that project with his albums Bubba in 2019, Kaytraminé in 2023, and Timeless in 2024. Along with these albums, he released a range of on-off singles, remixes, and a live album. The 33-year-old started this year off with his Timeless Tour, which was part of the promotion for his fourth album. And in August of this year, Kaytranada released his fifth album, Ain’t No Damn Way!, which is packed with his trademark dance tracks and earned The Hypebeast coverboy two Grammy nominations. He also toured with French DJ duo Justice to promote the project, taking the dance floor with him all over North America and capping off a year that was 100% greatness.
