Tiyale Hayes

As the Executive Vice President, Marketing and Audience Development at Black Entertainment Television (BET), Tiyale Hayes works steadily to ensure the network is reflective of a variety of Black experiences and the intersectionality of the Black community. This year, Hayes led the efforts for BET Black + Iconic Soirée honoring and celebrating the intersectionality of the Black and LGBTQ+ communities, recognizing individual contributions, and fostering a collective impact. Outside of ensuring that BET balances company objectives with real-life experiences, the Hampton University alum serves on the board of the National Hampton Alumni Association and sits on the board for the LGBTQ+ youth nonprofit Live Out Loud. With decades of business experience spread across companies like Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson, Hayes also runs his own consulting firm, Modulize, dedicated to ethnic and LGBTQ+ insights in corporate America. Hayes’ efforts are a testament to improving the lives of Black LGBTQ+ community, inside and outside of the boardroom.
