JOHNNY WRIGHT
Known as HOTUS (Hairstylist of the United States), Johnny Wright spent eight years in Washington, D.C. as hairstylist to former First Lady Michelle Obama. As a celebrity hairstylist, he has worked on Tamron Hall, Queen Latifah, and Tamar Braxton just to name a few. Wright has also come out with his first book in partnership with the Dummies series called Natural & Curly Hair for Dummies — which became the No. 1 selling book on Amazon . The book empowers readers on their natural hair and curly hair journey by taking them through the basic biology of natural and curly hair. On the book Wright says,”This book is a place to come together to learn, to teach, to heal, and to live your natural and curly hair life to the fullest.” Wright wants to continue to take the hair world by storm and says he has plans to develop a product line and an academy. —K.M.
