LUIS ALBERTO RODRIGUEZ
Luis Alberto Rodriguez is a Berlin-based photographer who was born and raised in New York City. Before entering the world of photography, Rodriguez trained as a dancer, received a BFA from The Juilliard School and performed around the world for 15 years. Now, his love and experience as a dancer and artist influences his unique style of photography. Oftentimes, subjects are contorted into interesting shapes and silhouettes to create images that instantly spark thought. Rodriguez has photographed the covers for top publications and fashion brands such as Vogue France, i-D, Dazed, Calvin Klein and Hood By Air. This year, Rodriguez photographed the winners at the 2022 Oscars, Serena Williams for the September cover of Vogue and Nicki Minaj for the cover of i-D magazine. —G.E.
