MARCELLAS REYNOLDS

The man who lets no Black woman’s impact go unnoticed or uncelebrated is Marcellas Reynolds. Before making a name as an author, Reynolds worked as a celebrity fashion stylist and an on-screen entertainment reporter. His first book, Supreme Models, highlighted all of the Black supermodels who revolutionized the fashion industry. His second, Supreme Actresses, highlighted the most influential Black women who have worked in film, television and theater. His most recent project has led him to partner with Vogue to convert Supreme Models into a documentary series on Youtube; Reynolds executive produced the project along with renowned supermodel Iman. While Reynolds’ most celebrated work has been centered around ensuring Black industry professionals and their impacts do not go unrecognized, the true multi-hyphenate and his lasting impact have not gone unnoticed either. —G.E.
