In the industry of home and décor, Michel Smith Boyd continues to be a hot talking point as one of the top ten African American interior designers in the nation. Boyd founded his design firm, SMITHBOYD, in 2016, and has been curating rooms of comfort and love ever since. This year, his work was featured in Modish: The Book of Great Design and he hosted the new HGTV show, Luxe for Less. Both projects underscored his attention to detail, classic styles and passion for transforming the homes and lives of others in the community. —E.F.
