Fresh off a 2022 Emmy win for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series for their work on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Ryan Ken is back at work on another season of the hit late night HBO show. When they are not writing, the South Carolina native releases videos of their sketch comedy and has amassed a huge following across social media It was their now famous Malcolm & Marie sketch that ascended them into a new universe especially after Queen Bey’s mother, Miss Tina Knowles Lawson shared the video on her Instagram. “Well, I just ascended to a new level,” Ken told GQ shortly after going viral. The multi-talented Ryan Ken is also co-host of Let Me Back Upwhich podcast, which they host with their college friend Jennie Crichlow. Their brand of comedy has been called radical and with that we say to Ryan Ken keep bringing that radical, laughable, comedic heat. —K.M.
