Daniel Kyri

For Chicago native Daniel Kyri, acting, producing, writing, and singing are all a part of his roster of undeniable talents. Kyri is best known for his role as Darren Ritter on the hit NBC show Chicago Fire. The creative joined the show in 2017 and became the first openly queer Black firefighter on primetime TV. Kyri ran an impressive seven seasons on the show before his departure this year. As he steps into a new phase in his career, he’s expanding his creative world, with Kyrie releasing his EP Childish Games in July 2025, with the project showing off his slick vocals and boundless creativity. Kyri also made a return to his theater roots to play Hamlet in the eponymously-named, six-episode adaptation of the Shakespearean play, released by the Make-Believe Association. This is only the beginning for Kyri and we can’t wait to see where else he’ll go.
